How many of us visit a cemetery for reasons other than grieving a loved one?

I’m sure the numbers are few, and that is unfortunate because there is so much to view, appreciate and learn in a cemetery.

History lives within its boundaries, and art too – just take a moment to roam among the graves and you will discover beautiful monuments, statues and gravestones.

From cemeteries around the world, this blog will reveal the artistry of monuments and gravestones and the literary verses that accompany them and reveal much about the dearly departed.

  1. You are wrong. Many of us visit cemeteries. I look for art. For Example, I have been in Paris visiting thrice on the Père Lachaise Cemetery.

In Finland, we have gorgeous memorials and well kept:

    Happy blogging!

    1. Obviously I agree with you as I visit myself for reasons other than grieving. I was speaking for a vast percentage of the population do not. Thanks for visiting my blog.
